Firing our catapaults!!!!

Yesterday we fired our mangonels. It was awesome!!!! Me and Ollie won!!!!! Ours went 10 meters. But we still are versing the syndicate. Jasper's was going to win but we overtook him!!! That was cool. Eds firing was funny. Ha Ha Ha!

Last week we made fruit and veg novelty's.We also made cookies. It was so fun!!! My fruit and veg novelty

was a car.  I made it out of cucumber and carrots. We also had to fill in cards. Two cards we did! We entered our stuff.  The end!!!!!!!!!

This is my BYOD argument.

Dear Board of Trustees,

I believe that we should have bring your own devices[BYOD] at Nelson Central School so kids

can learn on their devices. It would help kids with their learning. BYOD is bringing your own device to schools e.g. ipad,ipodtouch etc.

I think that we should have BYOD because they had to buy them for everyone. BUT,

if the school was to buy one IPAD 2 for every child it would cost over $300,000!!!!!!

Secondly,kids would enjoy writing on a devices more than writing by hand. It would be more fun and kids would want to do it more if they enjoyed it more.Their work would be done faster so they wouldn’t have to do it at morning tea time.

Lastly, BYOD is good because it would help kids prepare for the future.  For example when they have to do a hard task like math work. Another example is when I learned how to do a google presentation. Normally thats a thing adults would do. Also I know how to write a blog.

In conclusion, i believe it would help us with our learning. We  are made for it.   Phones will always help us. So when we’re adults we will know a lot more.

This week we went to Bridge Valley and it was awesome!!!Damper was cool but my favourite was kayaking. It was surprising that the water wasn't cold!!!
